HULL CONSTRUCTION:
TYPE: Fin keel with relatively flat wetted surface and moderately high freeboard with truncated ends. A fore and aft hot dipped, galvanized frame with athwart ship members in way of the rig is secured to the hull with FRP longitudinals. The keel and rig attach to the frame.
MATERIAL: Divinycell cored FRP manufactured using the SCRIMP (Seeman Composite Resin Infusion Molding) method.
THICKNESS: No core samples were available at the time of survey and therefore an accurate thickness of the hull could not be determined.
EXTERIOR HULL CONDITION: White gel coat hull with one blue cove and three blue boot stripes.The wetted surface has new International, black anti fouling bottom paint.
KEEL: An external lead with 2 % antimony keel with a bulb containing 35% of the weight of the keel. The keel is secured with 1” stainless steel keel bolts.
BALLAST: 11,023 pounds. External.
HULL-TO-DECK JOINT: The hull to deck joint is deck overlap with rigid mastic. The hull in way of the joint was of two skins with ½” rigid polyurethane core.
REINFORCEMENT: A black aluminum toerail is secured through the hull to deck joint.
CHAIN LOCKER AND FOREPEAK LOCKER: An opening and self draining locker to port of the windlass houses the chain. A deck storage locker with opening hatch is located immediately aft of the chain locker. This locker is water tight but drains to the bilge through a water tight bulkhead and via a hose to a valve. A stainless steel ladder is mounted on the aft bulkhead
ANCHOR ROLLER: A single extended bow roller.
STEM FITTING: A stainless steel stem fitting is secured to the deck with countersunk stainless steel fasteners and a “link bolt” extends to the stem from the headstay chainplate
TRANSOM: * The transom has a teak plank inlaid swim platform.
A folding stainless steel boarding ladder is secured to the transom.
A stainless steel exhaust for the engine and generator and two cockpit drains which were molded into the FRP.
DECK EQUIPMENT:
BOW PULPIT: A double stainless steel bow rail.
PUSHPIT (STERN PULPIT) : Twin rail stainless steel pushpits with twin stainless steel wire gates, stern light, lifesling, MOB module, Sat phone antenna, GPS antenna, integral flag pole. A 15’ SSB antenna is attached to the deck and aft rail.
TOE RAILS: A black painted partial toerail with integral fairleads has a section flush with the decks for “hiking out” comfort.
A centerline FRP foot brace is located down the cockpit centerline.
LIFELINES: 3/16” 7 x 19 double lifelines. No sign of stress or cracked fittings were found. The lifelines had mid deck gates.
CHOCKS AND CLEATS: 3 x 12” stainless steel mooring cleats were located each side deck.
GRAB RAILS: 2 stainless steel rails each side of the house and two stainless steel rails each side of the main hatch.
WINDOWS, PORTS AND HATCHES: The vessel has a Lewmar 24 x 24 opening hatch on the forward side of the house. 2 10 x 16 Lewmar opening hatches just forward of the mast, a 24 x 24 Lewmar opening hatch just aft of the mast and a sliding Lexan hatch with 2 Lexan captive washboards which self stow in the hatch area.
There are portlights on either side of the cockpit.
DODGER: A folding stainless steel frame with beige Sunbrella cover and Eizenglass windows has an opening section forward and stows in a molded bin in the forward cockpit coambing.
FITTINGS AND HARDWARE: A number of Wichard padeyes, turning blocks, genoa tracks, mainsheet traveler and stoppers
* A track for the baby stay in located on the house. It has a car with a double purchase block which leads aft.
COVERS: A gray boom awning and wheel cover
DECK/SUPERSTRUCTURE:
TYPE: Wedge deck.
MATERIAL: * Cored FRP (Fiberglass reinforced plastic) with white gel coat.
SEATS: Integral fore and aft and helm seat athwart ships.
Molded cockpit seats with access hatches on hydra lifts.
DECK SURFACE: Molded non skid in serviceable condition.
INTERIOR
GALLEY:
LOCATION: Starboard aft of the main cabin area.
SOLE: A honeycomb cored teak and holly sole on an aluminum frame.
PORT: A opening window is located above the galley
CABINETRY: The counter top is covered with white mica.
STORAGE AREAS: A console aft of the dinette with an oval opening door. Under the sink.
Outboard of the galley, under the galley and under the stove.
The following are located under the galley:
An Isotherm refrigerator switch/thermostat panel.
* A Whale salt water pump.
* A Par Max 4 automatic pressure pump.
STOVE: An Elmo 2 burner propane stove with oven and gimbals and a lock.
ENERGY SOURCE & STORAGE: * Propane. Supplied via copper tubing and approved gas hose.
REFRIGERATION: * Two refrigeration systems are employed on this vessel. Firstly, an Isotherm 12 volt air cooled compressor to a cold plate, located under the forward salon settee.
The second unit was a Danfoss 220 volt AC raw water cooled compressor/cold plate .
There is a Cal raw water pump located under the starboard settee in the salon for cooling the compressor.
The refrigerator has a Whale foot pump drain which tee’s into the sink drain.
An Isotherm side loading refrigerator is located under the galley counter.
An Isotherm thermostat is located in the outboard locker.
SINK: A double stainless steel sink in the galley island with a salt water spigot and a spigot for the water tank overflow/breather.
LIGHTING: * 3 halogen lights with relay switches.
SALON:
LAYOUT: The salon has a “L” shaped settee to starboard with storage behind and beneath and a fore and aft settee to port with “pipe” berth behind and storage beneath.
CUSHIONS: Blue fabric covered 5 “ foam segmented cushions and backs.
Each settee berth has lee cloths.
DECKHEAD : A FRP headliner.
HULL SIDES: The hull side is covered with teak planking.
SOLE: The sole is teak and holly faced honeycomb over riveted aluminum sole bearers.
LIGHTING: * The salon is well lit with recessed halogen lights,
MISC. Two Lewmar opening windows each side.
White curtains on tracks on each side of the salon.
Hella 12V fan.
HEADS:
LOCATION: Starboard forward of main bulkhead and port aft behind the chart table. Both heads are similarly appointed
CABINETRY: Two doors lead into the forward head. One from the forward cabin and one from the inboard side.
* A sliding mirrored vanity is located outboard of the stainless steel sink in the head.
A stainless steel grab rail is securely fastened to the counter top and surrounding the sink.
SOLE: The entire head area is an FRP molding with a varnished teak grating over the shower sump.
FIXTURES: A faucet/shower with hot and cold fresh water.
LIGHTING: 2 halogen lights power up.
MISC. A opening Lewmar window in each head.
FORWARD CABIN:
BUNKS: Vee berth.
CUSHIONS: Blue fabric covered 4” foam in serviceable condition.
LIGHTING: * 3 halogen fore cabin lights with relay switches.
DECKHEAD AND HULL: * The forward cabin deckhead is an FRP liner.
The hull sides are of varnished teak slats.
CABINETRY: All cabinetry was white painted in fair condition.
STORAGE AREAS: Under bunk. Hanging locker.
BILGE: Clean with depth transducer and log impellor under a marine plywood protective cover. A drain hose from the forepeak locker continued to the bilge area under the salon table. The hose terminated in a valve.
SOLE: The sole was 2 teak and holly faced honeycomb over aluminum sole bearers.
PORT CABIN FORWARD:
BUNKS: An upper and a lower bunk with lee cloths.
CUSHIONS: Blue fabric covered 4” foam in serviceable condition.
LIGHTING: One halogen light.
DECKHEAD AND HULL: The deckhead is an FRP headliner and the hull is lined with varnished teak slats.
STORAGE AREAS: A hanging locker aft and storage beneath the lower berth. 2 drawers.
SOLE: The sole was of teak and holly faced honeycomb over aluminum sole bearers.
PORT CABIN AFT:
BUNKS: A double berth.
DOORS: An operational door leads into the navigation station area.
CUSHIONS: 2 blue fabric covered 5” foam cushions with a centerline lee cloth in serviceable condition.
LIGHTING: 3 incandescent lights.
STORAGE AREAS: Beneath the berth, a hanging locker and a shelf forward, inboard.
SOLE: The sole was of teak and holly faced honeycomb over aluminum sole bearers.
STARBOARD CABIN AFT:
BUNKS: A double berth with 2 cushions and a centerline lee cloth with storage beneath.
DOORS: The door opens to the galley.
LIGHTING: 3 lights.
DECKHEAD AND HULL: The deckhead is an FRP liner and the hull is lined with varnished teak slats.
CABINETRY: A shelf with light is located forward inboard under the cockpit.
STORAGE AREAS: There is a double hanging locker with shelves on one side.
SOLE: Teak and holly faced honeycomb on aluminum frame sole bearers.
COMPANIONWAY SECTION:
STEPS: * Three curved teak steps with access to the engine room behind.
SOLE: There is an FRP sole pan with a grate for dust.
NAVIGATION STATION:
CABINETRY: A forward facing opening chart table with a secondary bin for navigation tools and 4 drawers underneath. The table has a white mica covered top with teak trim. A chart seat with a blue fabric covered 5” foam seat aft.
